Amit Shuck/Imitating Eden
Amit has been working in ecological restoration since 2004. She has a degree in Earth Science and ten years experience in conservation design for the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service before joining the private sector. She runs an educational farm at a public elementary school and works with both private landowners and non-profit organizations to create functional landscapes using ecological principles. She runs both private and public classes for all ages and levels. Her yard, having been converted to permaculture, was on the 2021 Cleveland Heights garden tour and produces a substantial amount of food throughout the growing season, used throughout the year. She is happy to help convert other places to more ecologically sustainable spaces through design, development, and education.
Kellly Clark/Kelly’s Working Welll Farm
Formally educated in physics and with a career in classroom teaching, Kelly turned her attention to the practice and promulgation of permaculture when she founded Kelly’s Working Well Farm, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, in 2012. The farm has provided Kelly with a space where she and others can learn and experiment in a wide range of areas from growing food and fiber regeneratively to developing self-directed educational models for kids and adults. Other projects and initiatives that Kelly is involved with are Reeds and Roots Skillshare, and Northeast Ohio Earth Restoration. She is passionate about weaving the networks that will support our place-based regenerative future and is always up for new ideas and collaborations!
