KWWF Kids Permaculture and Entrepreneurship camp
We invite kids ages 12-17 to learn how to use the concepts of permaculture at the farm. Permaculture Principles can be used to design projects for fun and for the benefit of one’s family, the community and the wider world.
Some of the topics to be covered include, designing an edible forest garden, using weeds to make health and beauty products, improving the life of the soil using chickens or while growing edible mushrooms, and adding value to products of the farm by making salves, jams and other edibles, and crafts. Camp
ers may sell items they have created at the farm store and will have the opportunity to develop a plan, either individually or as a team, that they may continue to refine and implement throughout the summer and beyond with the support of Kelly’s Working Well Farm.
June 22 – 26, 9-noon, $250
Campers may remain at the farm each day until 3:00 for an additional $100
